Free Art Project at Fairlington Farmers Market ★ Arlington Art Truck

The Arlington Art Truck visits the Fairlington Farmers Market!


Meet local artists Zofie King & Michele Montalbano who will guide you to create 𝙘𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙚𝙨, a photographic print technique that uses the power of the sun. Together, we'll collect organic items found on the grounds of the Fairlington Community Center, like leaves or small sticks, and then we'll use special blue film paper to make natural collages with the sun.


This art project turns natural materials into beautiful art, in the same way that composting transforms organic waste into valuable soil & mulch for gardens. While you create your art project, chat with a representative from the Arlington County Solid Waste Bureau who will teach you about the Arlington food scrap collection program and composting.
