Scapes Workshop #2: Cyanotype Imaging with Cheryl Chidester

Join watercolor artist and photographer Cheryl Chidester for a camera-less photography workshop to create one-of-a-kind cyanotype images

Date + Time: Saturday, June 14, 2025, 10am-12:00pm
Location: 118 N 4th Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104

In this workshop, participants will create one-of-a-kind cyanotype images. Our camera-less photography technique (invented in 1842) will involve lying (flattish) objects on paper coated with an iron salt solution, exposing them to UV light, and washing the paper with water to create stunning white and Prussian blue images. The images can also be enhanced with light watercolor washes.

Session takes up to two hours, and we can accommodate up to 12 students per session
This workshop is intended for ages 14+
No additional materials necessary, everything you need to create an artwork will be provided at the workshop, but you are welcome to bring your own objects
