Join Blue Badge Guide Philip Richards for an exploration of Andover's role in trade during the medieval period.
This talk will consider the factors which encouraged this including the natural underlying chalk rock which suited sheep grazing, the importance of hospitality and entertainment amongst the nobility and Church, and the trade links to Southampton, connecting England to markets on the Continent.
