KRISTINA BURDICK
Kristina Burdick's journey is one of grit, resilience, and reinvention. Raised in a military family and shaped by early trauma, she turned to substances in her youth before sobering up to enlist in the U.S. Army as a Paralegal Specialist, also earning a Postal Operations designation. After sustaining physical injuries and completing her contract through the National Guard, she faced a difficult descent, relapsing, living between the streets and friends' couches, enduring a divorce, and losing custody of her children.
But through the crucible of recovery, first with Medi-Cal treatment, then at Lighthouse under VA care, Kristina rose again. Certified as a Peer Support Specialist in 2022, she now channels her lived experience into purpose, serving as a grounded, empathetic presence for those walking paths she knows well.
