About the Show
Synopsis 'The Rope Trick': The Rational Thinkers Society is hosting an intimate conversational event on the topic of historical seances- and you’re invited. Witness Diana, the society director, interview Helen Webb, the granddaughter of a woman who could speak with the dead. Drinks and snacks will be served in the lobby, and please note that the electrical system in the building is an old one. If at any time the lights begin to flicker, just remember: . . . There’s no such thing as ghosts.
Roles Available
Helen, 60s-70s: The granddaughter of a woman who gained fame for touring the country and showcasing her ability to speak to the dead.
Diana, 30s-40s: Executive director for the Rational Thinkers Society.
Shelby, 20s: Diana's assistant
Understudies/Swings: AET is also auditioning an understudy for Helen and either a swing or understudies for BOTH Dianna and Shelby.

HOW TO AUDITION
Video submissions:
Accepted until June 28th at MIDNIGHT MST.
In-person Auditions:
Sunday, June 29th
Noon - 3 pm (each person will get a one hour time slot)
Community Service Center in Anaconda, MT
1st Floor conference room
Callbacks
Monday June 30th and/or Tuesday July 1st via Zoom
To submit: To submit for either a VIDEO or In-Person audition, please email jackie@anacondaensembletheatre with a theatre resume, recent photo or headshot and if you are video submitting or want to do an in-person audition in Anaconda, MT (for in-person, also note your top two times you want to be seen out of Noon, 1 pm or 2 pm that day). You will get a full information sheet with sides for either type of audition with your confirmation.

Union: Non-Union
Pay: At this juncture, AET is committed to paying $400*/role. Plus a food/travel stipend that will be based on distance from Anaconda, MT. Additionally, the team who is hands on for the production split a 20% cut of the box office (on track earnings is about $500 - $700 per person, conservatively*)
* AET understands that this is NOT a livable wage and is committed to as much flexibility in rehearsal scheduling as we can be, within reason.
Housing: AET is able to house (one) actor locally for this production.
Travel: AET has a travel stipend built in above. Note: AET cannot schedule or facilitate carpooling - we recommend reliable transport too and from Anaconda. WE CANNOT PROVIDE TRAVEL OR FLIGHTS OUTSIDE OF OUR SMALL TRAVEL STIPEND LISTED ABOVE.
