19:45 A bodywork workshop for tango dancers by Simon Brod.
"GIROS, LAPISES, CIRCULAR FIGURES: BUILDING ROTATION FROM THE FLOOR UP"
In this workshop we will explore how the different parts of ourself - ankles, hips, back, shoulders, head - interact when we create harmonious circular movements. How do we create and control turns and twisting movements starting in different parts of ourself?
We will work individually, you do not need to come with a partner.
We will work without shoes, so please bring a thick pair of socks to wear during the workshop. Or, if you prefer, you can work barefoot.
Simon Brod is a certified Feldenkrais practitioner and a tango dancer. The Feldenkrais Method helps us move with greater effect for less effort. It is used worldwide by performers and athletes to become more aware of their movement patterns and enable finer precision.
