With playful word prompts like “Jumping Triangle” or “Silent Line,” artist Iyamari will guide you to draw in a way that feels natural, spontaneous, and free.

Beginners will feel supported by the words — making it easy to begin without pressure — while experienced artists may find a welcome challenge in letting go of control and responding in new, intuitive ways.

Whether it’s your very first drawing session or a way to refresh your creative practice, this workshop offers the chance to discover something new — not just on the page, but in how you see and experience your daily life.

About the Artist:
Iyamari is a Japanese contemporary artist with an active career since 2008. She has hosted solo exhibitions and directed various art projects in Tokyo and London before relocating to Amsterdam in 2019. Her work explores themes of time and perception, inspired by a near-death experience at the age of 20.

One of her notable projects, the Telescore Project, is a global collaborative art initiative that creates music from tree prints, symbolising the connection between humans and nature through live performances and video art.
