When the sun goes down, warm sounds caress your ears, coming from a rooftop in Amsterdam-Noord. The spectacular setting and intimate atmosphere of our summer venue form the perfect conditions for artists to create magical moments. On Thursday July 10th we welcome Sydney Lowell and Flamingo Anonymous.
SYDNEY LOWELL
Born with an immensely creative mind, Sydney Lowell, tells stories with her rhythmic word art that moves. Her poems are like her other work, loaded with intention, inspiration and emotion. Sometimes critical, other times sensual, sometimes introverted, and always soulful. This concert is part of our Young Creators Program. This concert is a collaboration between On the Roof and ZoJazz Stage.

FLAMINGO ANONYMOUS
Flamingo Anonymous, is an extremely rare bird. Mysterious, but funky. Static, but full of passion. From the 1980’s, but also timeless…. But enough about the bird – let’s talk about the band! It was formed by Merlijn Verboom, Rory Ronde and Achim Heine, three years-old friends with a strong preference for groovy, vibey music. They love synths, eat basslines for breakfast and live by the beat. If you’re the kind of person who likes to sit down, listen and be taken to another place and another time… you won’t want to miss this concert!
