The Ante Medić Octet (playing at 19:15) is an energetic, out-of-the-box experience created by a band that aims to push the boundaries of contemporary jazz.
This octet is a forward thinking collective that stretches the creative confines and avoids the comfort zone, aiming for uncharted musical territories. Their sound and presence fuses the electric energy of a power trio with the intricate harmonies of a horn quintet. Some of the group’s wide array of influences include artists like Maria Schneider, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix and Aphex Twin.
After winning the Incentive Prize and the Best Soloist Award at the Keep An Eye Jazz Award 2023, the Ante Medić Octet relased two singles (ZenneZ Records) and will be recording their debut album in the autumn of 2024.

Incandescence
Incandescence (playing at 20:30) is a jazz quartet project formed by Nick Adema and Maël Idris, including Paddy Fitzgerald Genius Wesley.
Incandescence is a term associated with the heating up of an object to create light. Similarly so, in this project the bond between Nick and Maël radiates through their music. With its hot rays, and clear intentions, does Nick and Maël present a set of original and traditional compositions from a mixed Canadian/European perspective.
They will be going into the studio to record their debut album under fresh sound records featuring Alto Saxophonist Ben van Gelder.
