John Settle with the Paul Hartley Trio

We are thrilled to announce the return of vibraphone virtuoso John Settle for an evening of captivating jazz on Thursday, June 19th. Get ready for a night filled with the mesmerizing sounds of the vibraphone!

John Settle is a masterful vibraphonist who carries on the rich legacy of jazz greats like Milt Jackson and Lionel Hampton. His playing is also deeply influenced by legendary figures such as guitarist Wes Montgomery, fellow vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, organist Jimmy Smith, and guitarist George Benson, promising a diverse and engaging musical experience. Beyond his extensive performances with his own project, 'Vibe-ology,' which showcases his unique approach to the vibraphone, Settle is also a dynamic drummer for the highly acclaimed New York Brass Band. This dual talent highlights his profound musicality and rhythmic prowess, making him a truly versatile performer.

Leading the rhythm section for this special evening will be the wonderful guitarist Paul Hartley, known for his tasteful and lyrical playing that beautifully complements any jazz ensemble. Completing the rhythm section are Alsager’s own accomplished house musicians: Peter Robinson on bass and Roger Keay on drums.
