Registration is live now!
NATURA is a space to return to what is innate, intuitive, and deeply embodied. Rooted in the practice of 5Rhythms, this class offers a guided journey through movement, presence, and personal expression—inviting you to release tension, tap into your body’s wisdom, and reconnect with your most authentic self.
There are no steps to follow. No choreography to memorize. This is no performance—only presence. In NATURA, we explore what it means to move freely, to trust our instincts, and to allow the body to tell its own story—one step, one breath, one beat at a time.
Led by Scott Houston, a certified 5Rhythms teacher and co-founder of Sol Dance, this monthly class unfolds within a safe, supportive container. Whether you’re new to movement or a seasoned dancer, NATURA meets you where you are—offering an experience of self-discovery, release, and renewal.
Each session moves through the 5Rhythms Wave—a sequence of five distinct movement energies, each offering a unique invitation into embodiment, exploration, and transformation.
🌿 Monthly 5Rhythms classes are a foundational part of the Sol Dance Ecosystem, expanding beyond 2nd Sunday Sol Dances to offer more ways to move, heal & connect

So ... WHAT exactly are the 5Rhythms?
🌊 Flowing – The rhythm of receptivity, circularity, and grounded presence. In Flowing, we cultivate a connection to the earth and our own inner momentum. We soften into continuous, unbroken movement, learning to trust our weight, follow our impulses, and root ourselves in the present moment.
🔥 Staccato – The rhythm of clarity, boundaries, and expression. Staccato is where we find our voice in movement. It is sharp, percussive, and purposeful—teaching us about direction, heart-led action, and the courage to take up space. This is the rhythm of passion, fire, and connection.
🌪 Chaos – The rhythm of surrender, release, and transformation. Chaos invites us to let go—of control, of expectations, of everything we no longer need. In this rhythm, we shake loose tension, unravel stuck energy, and allow movement to take us beyond thought into pure presence.
🦋 Lyrical – The rhythm of expansion, lightness, and effortless movement. Lyrical is the space where freedom takes flight. It is playful, buoyant, and filled with possibility. In Lyrical, we move with ease, rediscovering our creativity, spontaneity, and sense of joy.
🌀 Stillness – The rhythm of integration, emptiness, and deep listening. In Stillness, movement slows, breath deepens, and we enter a space of quiet presence. This is the rhythm where everything settles, where we absorb the journey, and where we meet the wisdom that arises from within.
Together, these rhythms form The Wave, a moving meditation that unfolds uniquely every time you step onto the dance floor. The body holds wisdom, and when we put it in motion, we create space for insight, creativity, and healing to emerge.
Gabrielle Roth mapped this practice across the body, heart, mind, soul, and spirit, creating a lifetime journey of embodiment and awakening. Whether you’re stepping into this for the first time or you’re a seasoned dancer, the practice will meet you exactly where you are. 💫
What Happens on the Dance Floor?
Every class is a unique experience—because you are different every time you show up. The energy of the room, the group, and the teacher shape the journey. Some sessions will move through the entire Wave, while others might focus on a single rhythm or a specific element of the practice.
What Should I Expect?
A space to move at your own pace—this is not about performance.
A deeply personal journey while also being held in community.
A safe container to explore, push edges, release, and integrate.
A chance to meet resistance, surrender to the unknown, and move into new possibilities.
How Do I Start?
Go at your own pace.
Be responsible for your own body (listen to injuries, honor your limits).
Keep your eyes open and stay aware of others.
Move how you feel and stay open to change.
Remember—everything alive has a dance. Find and express yours.
And most importantly—enjoy yourself. (Excessive seriousness may slow you down!)
This is one of the first Sol Dance Ecosystem offerings outside of 2nd Sundays—an expansion of the movement we’re building together. Whether you’re coming for the first time or deepening your practice, this is an invitation to step in, move what moves, and discover what’s waiting on the other side of the dance. 🌀
