Mohammed ‘Ayo Busari’ (he/him) is a Nigerian-born, Boorloo (Perth)-based award-winning Creative Producer, Visual Artist, Theatre-Maker, Writer, Curator, Musician, Performer, and Community Leader. As the founder and co-frontman of TAB Family (est. 2019), Ayo has become a vital force in the creative community - shaping the local music and arts scene through his innovative performances and collaborative ethos.
Ayo’s interdisciplinary practice weaves together photography, filmmaking, music, design, theatre, live performance, and writing to craft bold, emotionally resonant narratives. Renowned for his electrifying DJ sets, he blends live percussion, electronic drums, and poetic storytelling to create immersive experiences that transcend genre - equally at home in festivals, galleries, and intimate gigs.
His debut solo track, SUPERSTAR (2023), marked a defining moment in his artistic evolution, showcasing his ability to push sonic boundaries while remaining grounded in cultural authenticity. Currently developing the next TAB Family project, Ayo continues to explore new creative frontiers - connecting people, amplifying underrepresented voices, and preserving collective memory through sound.
Having lived and worked across Nigeria and the UK, Ayo now proudly calls Boorloo home, where he remains committed to nurturing cross-disciplinary collaboration and championing powerful, community-rooted storytelling.
