This Pentecost Sunday brings us to the conclusion of our "Living Resurrection" worship series with a focus on "Bearing Witness" through the lens of Romans 8:14-17 and Acts 2:1-21. The gift of God's Spirit was promised by Jesus to be the continuing presence of the Risen Christ to "teach you everything and remind you of all that I have said to you" (John 14:26). In what ways do we bear witness to the power of God's Spirit guiding the church and our lives? How are we (both individually and collectively as church) bearing witness to the living Christ through our words, actions, and relationships? What does living resurrection hope mean for our living in the Holy Spirit? All are welcome to join us for worship this Sunday and participate in reflecting on these and other questions.
Please be sure to check in with the Greeter at the Welcome Table. A supervised children's Prayground area is available with activities for the children that enables parents to worship in another area of the room.
If you will be joining us virtually, whether or not on livestream, you’re encouraged to prepare a worship space that’s meaningful to you – perhaps a candle as a reminder of the Light of Christ shining in the brokenness of this world, & your Communion elements for our time of gathering around the Open Table at Christ’s invitation to all.
Visit our website, montevista.org, to download the worship packet (available for download on Friday afternoons), get the link directly to our VistaStream YouTube channel (montevista.org/vistastream), learn more about our faith community, read our newsletters, submit prayer concerns, explore opportunities to participate, share financial tithes & offerings, & see ways that MVCC serves the community.
