This year’s Othello at the New Mexico Shakespeare Festival delves into the origins of hate within a tragic love story, unearthing themes of racism, sexism, jealousy, and the violence of silence. Set in the 1600s in Cyprus and Venice against the backdrop of war and Western dominance, this production confronts our complicity in systems of oppression and the devastating consequences of inaction.

All performances are FREE to the public! All performances begin at 7:30 PM, and the park opens at 6:30. Join us for an evening of Shakespeare against the backdrop of the Sandias.
