::Gallery Fitigogo Presents:: Nathan W. Perry [Cobalt Drinking-Glass]

The GALLERY FITIGOGO, a new art and event space dedicated to the avant-garde and experimental visions of New Mexican artists, will be hosting Cobalt Drinking-Glass, a pop-up exhibition of art created by established artist Nathan W. Perry and curated by Daniel Raab-Faber. Please join us for this exhibition to meet the artist and his work during Albuquerque’s First Friday ARTS crawl May 2nd till the following friday on the 9th!

Nathan's art is inspired by Impressionism, Modernism, Surrealism, and 1970s American Fantasy Art. His work conveys both the physical and psychological traumas associated with type-1 diabetes, highlighting the challenges of compromised health and a limited lifespan. Additionally, his pieces explore themes such as the amorality of nature, the mystification of spiritual experiences, and his personal experiences of living by the ocean and in the desert, all within an uncertain and ever-changing world.

Nathan Perry commented on this exhibition, "Art may be another window to the soul that hopefully provokes both the artist and the viewer to ask fundamental questions, such as, 'Where and what am I?', 'What did I just experience and how did it lead me here?', and 'What does this all mean?' Finding answers to these questions represents personal empowerment and validation."
Nathan was born in Connecticut and educated in fine arts at the Rhode Island School of Design. After his undergraduate degree, he traveled from the Massachusetts coast to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to experience the desert.
