Tales of Gay Albany documentary premiere
A local documentary about Albany, New York’s gay nightlife scene on Central Avenue in the 1980s and 1990s. Tales of creating joy, finding strength, and building community during times of social and political injustice . This documentary features interviews with community members that are interwoven with never before seen vintage nightlife film footage of clubs such as Rage, Longhorns, Private I's and others , during the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.
All proceeds from this screening benefit the Damien Center and Pride Center of the Capital Region.
