Downtown Albany Strategy - Public Workshop #1

You are invited to attend the first public workshop for the Downtown Albany Strategy, part of Governor Hochul’s .

We want to hear from YOU—residents, business owners, workers, and neighbors—about what changes you want to see in Downtown. Your ideas will shape investments in better public spaces, safer streets, new housing, and stronger small businesses.

Date: Wednesday, August 6, 2025

Agenda:

• 4:30-5:30PM – Open house with refreshments
• 5:30PM – Welcome and opening remarks from the Governor’s Office and Empire State Development
• 5:45-7:30PM – Presentation and small group discussions

Free Parking: Free parking is available in the Albany Capital Center’s Parking Garage beneath the facility (7 Wendell Street, Albany, NY 12207)

Free Refreshments: A light meal will be provided, including sandwiches and drinks
