SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Yoga!

Class will begin on the dock, as we teach you safety points and basic SUP yoga principles that will support you throughout your lesson. Once on the water, we will begin with a mindful flow seated on the board to feel grounded and stable. We will gradually work our way up to standing poses while learning how to adjust our yoga practice to the water. These classes are light-hearted and fun, encouraging students to try new things, and maybe even fall in! The class will end with traditional savasana, a relaxing meditation with the soft rocking of the water, fingers and toes trailing in the water, and the mind free to relax and let go. No yoga or SUP experience required.
*Arrive 15 min prior to class start
*In case of inclement weather, you will be refunded. No rain dates. Weather cancelations will be decided 2 hours before start of class and communicated via email and / or text.
*Launch site: Portage Lakes State Park – North Reservoir., State Mill Launch Ramp, 803 State Mill Rd. Akron, Ohio 44319
*Bring: comfortable clothes/ yoga clothes or swim suit, towel, sunscreen, water, bug spray
Class size capped at 12, so sign up now! Investment: $40 (includes paddle board rental). If you have your own board, cost is $25 (call or schedule in-studio to receive discount). No refunds or exchanges after 24 hours prior to the start of the event, except in the case of inclement weather.
