Saturday Sevillanas - Summer Sessions

This class is a great way to spend your Saturday. Save brunch for Sunday and come burn calories, stretch challenge your mind and body to learn something new. Make new friends and perform in Fall events!!! Don't wait until April to learn how to dance. Master all 4 coplas by Spring Events next year!!!

Wear yoga pants, a form fitting top, sturdy shoes with thick heels and bring a bottle of water. First Class is FREE: 6/12 !!!

About the Instructor:

Julia Alcantara has an extensive Resume in Dance Instruction including 4 seasons as a Elementary school Ballroom Instructor – through the Dancing Classrooms Program 2006 - 2008 Junior Players – Flamenco for kids of all ages Kindergarten through High School UTD – executed 2 six week Artist Residencies 2006 & 2016 Choreographed Ravel's Bolero for live orchestra in ‘Dallas Treasures’ Concert 2019 Organized more than 15 Flamenco Festivals in Dallas, TX since 1999 Allen Dance studio Summer Intensive 2022 & 2023.

She has produced thousands of events bringing flamenco and other ethnic entertainment to numerous restaurants, open air spaces, and performing arts venues across the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston area including the Bishop Arts District and Deep Ellum where she hosted 4 festivals prior to moving to Oak Cliff. Her dance studio teaches beginner to professional level dance and offers classes in Flamenco Guitar and Singing in artist residencies twice a year
