Bellringers - Defending Democracy Meetup

We are a newly formed Dallas-based community of concerned citizens dedicated to fighting the rise of authoritarianism in the United States. We gather to converse, brainstorm and organize grassroots efforts to help spread truth, educate and engage other citizens, promote social justice and democratic ideals. As “Bellringers” we aim to sound the alarm that “Authoritarianism is at Our Door” and to "Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants thereof” as inscribed on the Liberty Bell. We will ring bells of all kinds and make great noise wherever we go to “Let Freedom Ring” to bring light to freedoms that are disappearing at an ALARMING rate in the United States. We are not affiliated with any political party but consider ourselves to be progressive, patriotic Americans who value truth, honesty, civility and integrity. We prioritize social justice, economic fairness, and environmental protections.
