Harry Potter Trivia Night at Grain Theory

Grab your house scarf, polish your wand, and celebrate the Boy Who Lived with us just ahead of his birthday! We're throwing a full-blown Harry Potter trivia night on Tuesday, July 29th, and it’s going to be magical from start to finish. Whether you’ve memorized every spell in the Standard Book of Spells or just love the movies, this night is for you. And yes—it’s totally free to play and open to all ages.
TRIVIA FORMAT
We’ll dive deep into the Wizarding World across four themed rounds of trivia, with 10 questions each.
Expect a mix of content covering:
– All seven books and eight films
– Characters (major and obscure)
– Magical creatures and spells
– Hogwarts history and house lore
– Locations from Hogsmeade to the Ministry of Magic
– Wizarding world culture, quotes, and famous moments
We’re pulling questions from across the entire Harry Potter universe, so brush up on your trivia and maybe rewatch your favorites before game night.
HOW TO PLAY
– It’s completely free to join
– Teams can have up to 6 players
– All rounds are played via phone—just scan the QR code on our projector to jump in
– Your team name must stay consistent for all 4 rounds
– We recommend arriving early to grab drinks, order food, and claim a table—first question starts promptly at 6:30 PM
TROPHIES & COSTUME CONTEST
We’re handing out three separate trophies at the end of the night:
– Winning Trivia Team – the crew with the most points after all 4 rounds
– Best Dressed Adult – costumes, robes, wigs, or perfect impersonations welcome
– Best Dressed Child – this is a family-friendly event, so bring your little wizards too
Whether you show up as Bellatrix, Buckbeak, or a free elf, don’t hold back—costumes are encouraged and always a crowd favorite. This is your time to shine like a freshly polished Nimbus 2000.

ABOUT TRIVIA TUESDAYS AT GRAIN THEORY
Every Tuesday at 6:30 PM, we host themed trivia nights in The Blakeley—our private event space tucked just behind the main bar. These nights are the perfect mix of competition, community, and craft beer. Whether you’re a trivia diehard or just here for fun, there’s something for everyone.
