Barridas ✨👣
If you’re ready for barrida sequences that combine your favorite elements of ganchos and boleos, then let Osky and Kristina guide you in this foot catching class! 🎶
This advanced class is for students with an understanding of barridas, and are applying it in their dance (along with other more advanced steps, like ganchos, sacadas, and boleos).
We lay the deeper groundwork for a variety of barridas – the structure, technique, and timing – and in the following weeks, we apply those principles to create combinations that push, pull, and stretch our creative muscles 💡: tricking the viewer’s eye into thinking “who’s leading who?” 👀
Week one:
🔹 Basic Barrida review – principles of technique and structure. Let’s clear out the cobwebs, examine what we know, and make it better!
Weeks 2–4:
🔹 Various combinations with forced crosses, ganchos, and boleos – pushing our technique and creativity to find the most surprising sweeps! ✨
