Սրբազան երկխոսություն․ Լուվրից Հայաստանի պատմության թանգարան

2025 թ. սեպտեմբերի 21-ից Հայաստանի պատմության թանգարանում կգործի «Սրբազան երկխոսություն․ Լուվրից Հայաստանի պատմության թանգարան» խորագրով աննախադեպ միջազգային ցուցահանդեսը։
Այս բացառիկ ցուցահանդեսի շրջանակներում առաջին անգամ Հայաստանում կցուցադրվեն Լուվրի թանգարանի հավաքածուներից տասնվեց ուշագրավ ցուցանմուշներ, որոնք կհամադրվեն Հայաստանի պատմության թանգարանի երկու տասնյակից ավելի արժեքավոր թանգարանային առարկաների հետ։
Առանձնակի է ներկայացվելու Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնից փոխառված Սուրբ Բարդուղիմեոս առաքյալի մասունքարանը։
Երկու հավաքածուների համատեղ ցուցադրությունը նպատակ ունի ընդգծելու Հայաստանի և քրիստոնյա Արևելքի բազմադարյա գեղարվեստական ժառանգության ամբողջ հարստությունն ու բազմազանությունը։
Յուրատեսակ ցուցադրական միջավայրում ներկայացվող այս հավաքածուները ոչ միայն համաքրիստոնեական հոգևոր մշակույթի, այլև համաշխարհային մշակութային ժառանգության իսկական գլուխգործոցներ են։
Ցուցահանդեսով սկիզբ է դրվելու Հայաստանի պատմության թանգարանի և Լուվրի թանգարանի համագործակցության նոր ձևաչափին՝ հիմնված անցյալ տարի երկու հաստատությունների միջև կնքված հուշագրի վրա։
Ցուցահանդեսը բացվելու է ՀՀ անկախության տոնին, որը խորհրդանշական է Հայաստանի՝ որպես առաջինը Քրիստոնեությունը պետականորեն ընդունած և խոր քրիստոնեական արժեհամակարգ ունեցող երկրի համար։
Ցուցադրությունն իրականացվում է Հայաստանի պատմության թանգարանի և Լուվրի թանգարանի համագործակցությամբ, ՀՀ կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի և սպորտի նախարարության աջակցությամբ։

À partir du 21 septembre 2025, au musée d’histoire de l’Arménie, se tiendra l’exposition internationale inédite intitulée « Dialogues sacrés : du Louvre au musée d’histoire de l’Arménie ».
Dans le cadre de cette exposition exceptionnelle, pour la première fois, seize chefs-d’œuvre issus des collections du musée du Louvre seront exposées en dialogue avec plus de vingt pièces précieuses du musée d’histoire de l’Arménie dans une scénographie conçue pour l’occasion.
Les œuvres prêtées par le musée du Louvre comprennent notamment : la tenture au Jonas (IVe–Ve siècle, Égypte), un relief avec un poisson et une croix (Ve–VIIe siècle, Égypte, cimetière d’Ermant), le reliquaire de Castello di Brivio (Ve siècle, découvert en Italie, à Brivio), le calice « Ganay » (VIe–VIIe siècle, Empire byzantin), un bracelet en argent ciselé (XIIe–XIIIe siècle, Empire byzantin), l’icône de la Vierge et l’Enfant entre saint Cyriaque et saint Georges (XVe siècle, Crète) ou encore une icône de la Crucifixion (XIXe siècle, Jérusalem). Ces œuvres rencontreront des pièces du musée d’histoire de l’Arménie : la croix ailée de Dvin (VIIe siècle), les chapiteaux en bois de l’église des Saints-Apôtres du monastère de Sevanavank (IXe siècle), la porte richement sculptée de cette même église (XVe siècle), un encensoir d’Ani (XIIIe siècle), la croix d’autel du monastère Saint-Jean de Baghesh (1770), le rideau de l’église Saint-Jean de Gavar (XIXe siècle), et bien d’autres. Une place particulière sera accordée au reliquaire de l’apôtre saint Barthélemy, prêté par le Saint-Siège d’Etchmiadzine.
La rencontre de ces deux collections vient mettre en lumière toute la richesse et la diversité de la production de l’Arménie et de l’Orient chrétien à travers les siècles. L’exposition présente en effet une grande diversité d’origines géographiques (de la Bulgarie à l’Égypte, de la Crète à la Syrie) et une large chronologie, allant du IVe siècle au XIXe siècle. Elle montre l’importance des circulations des techniques, des artistes, des iconographies et des motifs dans un Orient chrétien connecté et les liens développés par cette civilisation avec le monde qui la précède (notamment l’empire romain) et le monde musulman. Ainsi, l’exposition souhaite souligner à la fois la singularité des expressions artistiques propres à chaque culture du christianisme oriental, mais aussi, et c’est sans doute là sa force, des traits communs, des échanges et des points de convergence.
Dans une scénographie élaborée, l’exposition permettra à la fois de découvrir ces collections sont non seulement comme de brillants exemples du patrimoine spirituel du panchristianisme, mais aussi comme de véritables chefs-d’œuvre issus du patrimoine artistique mondial.
Cette exposition marquera le début d’un nouveau format de coopération entre le musée d’histoire de l’Arménie et le musée du Louvre, fondé sur un mémorandum signé l’année dernière entre les deux institutions.
Son ouverture, le jour de la fête de l’Indépendance de la République d’Arménie, revêt une valeur symbolique pour l’Arménie – premier pays à avoir adopté le christianisme comme religion d’État et porteur d’un profond système de valeurs chrétiennes.
L’exposition est organisée par le musée d’histoire de l’Arménie et le musée du Louvre, Paris, avec le soutien du ministère de l’Éducation, de la Science, de la Culture et des Sports de la République d’Arménie.

Starting on 21 September 2025, the History Museum of Armenia will present a landmark international exhibition: Sacred Dialogues: from the Louvre to the History Museum of Armenia.
For the first time, sixteen outstanding works from the Louvre’s collections will be shown in Armenia. They will be presented in a dialogue with more than twenty precious artefacts from the History Museum of Armenia, in a specially designed exhibition display. Among the highlights loaned by the Louvre are: the wall hanging showing of Jonah (4th–5th century, Egypt), a relief with a cross and fish (5th–7th century, Egypt, Ermant cemetery), the reliquary of Castello di Brivio (5th century, discovered in Brivio, Italy), the “Ganay” chalice (6th–7th century, Byzantine Empire), a silver-decorated bracelet (12th–13th century, Byzantine Empire), the icon of the Virgin and Child with Saint Cyriacus and Saint George (15th century, Crete) and an icon of the Crucifixion (19th century, Jerusalem). These works will be presented in dialogue with masterpieces from the History Museum of Armenia such as a winged cross from Dvin (7th century), the wooden capitals from the Holy Apostles Church in Sevan (9th century), a luxuriously carved door from the same church (15th century), one of the censers from Ani (13th century), the altar cross from St John Monastery in Baghesh (1770), the curtain from St John Church in Gavar (19th century), among others. A special focus will also be given to the reliquary of the Apostle Bartholomew, on loan from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The encounter between these two collections highlights the richness and diversity of Armenian and Eastern Christian production across the centuries. The exhibition spans a broad geographical range (from Bulgaria to Egypt, from Crete to Syria) and an extensive chronology, from the 4th to the 19th century. It underlines the circulation of techniques, artists, iconographies, and motifs within a connected Christian East, as well as the relationships this world fostered with both the Roman Empire and the Islamic world. The exhibition highlights the singular artistic expressions of each culture of Eastern Christianity while also revealing the shared traits, exchanges, and points of convergence that give it its unique strength.
Through a carefully designed scenography, the exhibition invites visitors to discover these collections not only as remarkable testimonies of the spiritual heritage of pan-Christianity, but also as true masterpieces of world artistic heritage.
The exhibition inaugurates a new framework of cooperation between the History Museum of Armenia and the Musée du Louvre, based on a memorandum of understanding signed between the two institutions last year.
The exhibition will open on the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia — a symbolic occasion for a nation that was the first to adopt Christianity as a state religion and holds a deeply rooted Christian value system.
The exhibition is organised by the History Museum of Armenia and the Musée du Louvre, Paris, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
