About the Facilitator:
Dr. Susan H. Allen is the Henry Hart Rice Chair and Professor at the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University, where she also directs Graduate Programs and the Center for Peacemaking Practice. Her work focuses on interactive peacemaking, intermediary roles, reflective practice, and evaluating peace initiatives.
Dr. Allen brings extensive experience from long-term peacebuilding in the South Caucasus and has contributed to initiatives in numerous conflict-affected regions worldwide. Her work has been supported by the US Institute of Peace, USAID, the UK Conflict Pool, and the US State Department.
Previously, she co-founded and directed the Alliance for Conflict Transformation and worked at the Carter Center in Atlanta. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from the Carter School and serves on the editorial boards of International Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Quarterly and the advisory board of Caucasus Edition.
