come for a casual fundraiser to help me and Marjie get to a couple shows and hopefully qualify for the working equitation regional competition in September!

as with anything involving Liz and Howie, there will be FOOD.
trail and obstacles; Bridge behind the house and over the stream. bonus, CHICKENS! and the return of the CHICKEN POOL OF DOOMMMM... meander down the road through the cowboy curtain and water box. pass through the paddock and lope the little hill loop, go over logs and rocks. out into the south pasture we have three giant tires for climbing, a little bit of wooded trails, and many opportunities for the stream crossing. more TBD depending on how creative the mighty Howie gets!
10am -11 ; July Fourth-focused desensitization with graduating levels of noise. this will be in hand. dogs welcome. bring HIGH VALUE treats for horses or dogs.
1130-1 workshop for mounted archery. casual discussion of the various types of archery, bows, draws, arrows (AND SAFETY). we will play with some from the ground, then introduce some of the aspects of shooting from horseback. you do NOT have to have a horse for this. this is just an intro and discussion, not an official lesson and I am not
an expert. my goal with this is to interest people in the sport for fun so you can see if you want to invest in lessons or not.
after archery I will set back up some working equitation obstacles for a practice course that will be available the rest of the day.
2pm -workshop on "feel". You do not need to bring a horse to participate. this will be a free form discussion on feel, pressure, energy and how they apply to horse/human interactions. we will play a little with Chi, too!
300; Rein handling; brief discussion of different ways people over the world communicate with their horses via reins, and play a little with how different methods effect horse and rider.
330-on. ; if there's interest, I can set up a crafts station. browbands, keychains, or paintings are all options, if there is interest.
