Vegetable Garden Tours – July & August 2025
Part of the Transform Your Yard into a Food Garden Initiative
The Vegetable Garden Tours are a part of the City of Yellowknife’s Transform Your Yard into a Food Garden initiative, which supports both home gardening and self-sufficiency while creating opportunities for participants to develop foundational skills in small-scale, agriculture-based business development.
Gardeners of all ages, experience levels, and types are welcome to attend.

Important Notes:
- Meet-up Location: Unless specified otherwise, all tours begin at the event location. If noted, meet at École Įtłʼǫ̀ School Parking Lot (5700 51A Avenue, Yellowknife, NT X1A 1G4).
Please arrive early to travel as a group where required.
- Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the listed start time.
Note: August 7 meet-up is at 1:45 PM.
- Transportation:
Walking or biking will be used whenever possible.
When necessary, carpooling will be arranged.
- Registration:
No pre-registration is required. Simply show up at the scheduled time and location.
- Donations:
Participants are encouraged to contribute a cash donation of $10–20 per tour to help compensate commercial growers for their time and expertise.
