The Great Dahlia Dig (Workshop)

Love dahlias but don't know what to do with them? Wondering how to dig/divide them? Questions about storing them for the winter?

If you're ready to jump on the dahlia bandwagon, but still have some questions, this is the workshop for you!

This is a hands-on, mini flower-farming session. We'll walk the dahlias rows in my field and spend time at 3 different stations: digging tubers, washing the clumps so we can see the eyes, and dividing the tubers to store for winter.

The best part? Everyone goes home with a giant stash of tubers to plant next year. Once you grow them, you'll be hooked for life. ;)

Dress for the weather & farm work! Bring a digging fork if you have one, but we'll have extras on hand too. You'll probably want gardening gloves if it's cool that day, and we spend time washing the tubers so long pants and work boots are your friend.
