2025 Bluegrass on Ballard Car, Truck, & Motorcycle Show

The Bluegrass on Ballard Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show is back for 2025. Registration will be online only. 29 classes, 1st thru 3rd place plus Best Modern Car, Best Classic Car, Best Truck and Best Motorcycle, along with the Mayor's Choice Award

Calling all cars, trucks, motorcycles, and enthusiasts: We will be having a car/truck/motorcycle show during the Wylie Jubilee Bluegrass on Ballard celebration on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Registration is open to any and all cars, trucks, and motorcycles, and there are numerous classes to enter and compete in for best in class. The event is participant judged in the following classes:

Car Classes

Purchase your registration ticket here in advance via credit card. Space will be limited, and registration is online only so buy here to guarantee a spot! The first 100 registrants will receive a T-shirt, dash plaque, and sponsor goodie bag. The event is rain or shine and there will be no refunds. Parking is reserved, if you need club space, please pre-register and email so we know. We'll do the best we can to accommodate, but no guarantees.

When you arrive:

Entry point for participants will be on Marble Street, East of Ballard Street, as in previous years. See map below. If you arrive early, please park in The Cross Church Event Center parking lot, located BEHIND the building at 200 N Ballard Avenue. DO NOT park on Ballard Street if you arrive early! This is a rule handed down from The City of Wylie Public Safety (Police/Fire) and the Wylie Downtown Merchants Association. They will be blocking off streets in Downtown Wylie and asking anyone (including car show registrants) to move their vehicles off Ballard Street prior to the event.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

We prefer that you bring your printed ticket to the show when you arrive and indicate what class of car you are entering, make and model, under the same registration name as on your ticket.

How many classes can I register in?

You may register in one class only.

What if I have a special request or need group space for my car club?

Contact the show coordinators at d3lsaWVjYXJzaG93IHwgZ21haWwgISBjb20= and we will work with you. If you have a large club and are bringing multiple cars, please let us know in advance so that we can coordinate that, and make sure your group arrives together.

Can I register at the show?

We are only accepting Online Registrations.

What time should I arrive for the show?

We recommend arriving between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m, and lining up on Marble Street. We will be closing the entrance to the show at 12 p.m, late arrivals will not be allowed in. The Cross Church has graciously allowed early arrivers to use their Event Center parking lot as a place to park before the show starts. The street will be closed at 6 a.m, and our start time for letting cars in to park is based on how quickly the City of Wylie and WDMA volunteers can clear the street. Check in will start at 8 a.m, and the show starts at 10 a.m. If you show up too early, you WILL be asked by Wylie PD to move your car to the staging area before parking for the show. Please be patient and courteous to the staff, as they are all volunteers and are working with all registrants and also managing Wylie PD's and WDMA's expectations.

What if I want to park my group/club on Ballard early?

We will be reserving spots for clubs/groups/businesses that have made arrangements ahead of time and are event sponsors. If you are interested in a sponsorship opportunity and the perks that come with being a sponsor, please email d3lsaWVjYXJzaG93IHwgZ21haWwgISBjb20= with your requests.

Can I leave early?

We expect all participants to remain parked until the conclusion of the awards ceremony, which starts between 3 and 3:30 p.m as soon as all ballots turned in have been counted. The end time for the show is 4 .pm or at the conclusion of the awards presentation. For the safety of all guests, The City of Wylie and Wylie Public Safety (Police/Fire) have asked that if you do need to leave the show early, you will need to speak to an event coordinator first and reach out to a Public Safety Officer at the event in order be escorted out by a PSO.

How do I exit the show?

At the conclusion of the Awards Ceremony, volunteers and Wylie Public Safety Officers will guide and direct vehicles out of Downtown Wylie to the North, toward Brown St. All vehicles shall be backed in and angled to the North. You will exit by pulling straight out of your parking spot and taking a right on Brown Street. Wylie Police Officers will be stationed at the exits and directing traffic, and they have indicated that vehicles exiting downtown Wylie will NOT be allowed to go straight on Ballard Street.

Is there a rain date?

The show is rain or shine, there is no alternate date.

What is the refund policy?
