Stoke the Fire: A Summer Solstice Event to Honor the Sacred Sun

The Summer Solstice marks the time where the sun is at its fullest power. When the sun in the sky is the strongest, our internal fire can burn brightly as well.


On the day of the year that is full of light, join Longwave Yoga on the seaside lawn of Trailborn Surf & Sound (previously, Blockade Runner) for an opportunity to stoke your inner fire and honor the sacred sun. This event will consist of an all-levels vinyasa class featuring sun salutations, pranayama to ignite your inner flame, and a puja ceremony around the firepit as the sun finally sets as a gesture of "burning away" or letting go of anything that no longer serves you.


The solstice is a time to honor the sun, release the past, and prepare to embrace a new season. Utilize your power as you connect with the energy of the sun, embrace an opportunity to be renewed by flame, and join in community for this auspicious occasion. All levels of yoga practitioners are welcome!
