Ocean Origami: Workshop for Families
Thursday 07 August // 13.00 - 16.00 // Age 8+
We See, The Sea is two weeks dedicated to FREE arts based activities for children, families and young people generously sponsored by and in partnership with Sussex Bay and The Arts Society Steyning.
Please book a ticket for everyone attending the workshop. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Emily's workshop will be drop in but please help us gauge numbers and reserve a place. If you don't reserve a ticket you're still welcome to come but there might be a wait to join if it's busy.
This workshop is perfect for families who want to enjoy screen-free time together, learn to fold ocean-themed origami and build a sense of community.
Perfect for families and children age 8 and up.
All materials provided - no experience needed - just bring your curiosity and a sense of fun!
Important: children and young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during throughout the workshop.
About the Artist
Emily discovered origami during her own journey with anxiety, finding its rhythmic process calming and meditative. A writer for a national mental health charity and a trained mindfulness practitioner, Emily runs her origami workshops across the UK, facilitating discussions about wellbeing between people of all ages.
This event has a capacity of 15 people.
No experience needed- just enthusiasm and imagination. All materials will be supplied.
