Worthing 4 Refugees invites you to St Mary's Church for a special film screening during Refugee Week. We will be showcasing the powerful feature-film Life is Beautiful - A Letter to Gaza .
Exiled above the arctic circle in Norway and refusing to accept the boundaries of international politics & rigid bureaucracy, Palestinian filmmaker Mohamed Jabaly insists on telling heartfelt stories from his homeland, Gaza. Despite his statelessness and having limited connection to his family, he manages to channel support from friends and his own creativity, adhering to his motto LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. And throughout it all, he fights for his rights with integrity, community, and a smile for the world.
There will be a short talk on the work of Worthing 4 Refugees, and a pre-recorded Q&A with Director Mohamed Jabaly.
Drinks and snacks will be provided.
This is a free event but there will be a collection for the work of Worthing 4 Refugees.
