$85/day; Flexible Daily Booking | Woodinville, WA
Join us 1 day or every day for a summer of wonder, play, and wild imagination at Little Fern Forest! Nestled behind a little blue house not far from the Tolt Pipeline Trail, we offer a holistic, all-outdoor experience for children of all neurotypes and identities through forest school, OT-informed camps, and joyful, child-led learning.
✨ Each week is themed around a magical Book of the Week, guiding hands-on projects like fairy home building, potion mixing, and wild science experiments! Kids will grow friendships, confidence, and nature-connection as they explore the outdoors through play, storytelling, music, and discovery.
🌈 Every Thursday, we wander into the community for field adventures.
🎉 Every Friday, we celebrate with a showcase of our week’s creations and memories.
It’s a summer where children shine—messy, muddy, imaginative, and joyfully themselves.

Weekly Forest Camp Theme Descriptions:
June 2–6: Fairy Homes
Step into a magical forest where the trees whisper secrets and every path holds a new wonder. Children will embark on enchanting journeys to explore the woods, searching for and crafting homes for the tiniest protectors of the forest—fairies! As they gather nature’s treasures, they’ll create whimsical fairy abodes and carry home a bit of the forest’s magic, ready to welcome their own little guardian of the woods!
June 9–13: Become a Potions Master
Join us for a week of magical experiments! Kids will mix colorful waters and explore chemical reactions with ingredients like vinegar, baking soda, and other simple materials. It’s a week of bubbly fun and fizzing potions, all while learning the magic of science!
June 16–20: Ready, Set, Grow + Summer Solstice (Closed Juneteenth)
Plant seeds, learn about growing food, watch them sprout, and take them home to care for! Celebrate the Summer Solstice with sun catchers, sun tea, and water play, bringing light and warmth into our summer adventure as we explore how nature thrives and grows through the seasons!
June 23–27: Storytellers Camp
Unleash your creativity as we create, write, and perform a unique story through character building, costumes, and props! Kids will get the chance to develop characters, build their own mini stories, and share their magical tales with others in a theatrical outdoor setting.
June 30–July 4: Mud Mayhem (Closed July 4th)
Time to get messy with mud! We’ll explore muddy crafts, play, and sensory-rich activities using the earth itself. With natural mud, kids will create art, build structures, and get their hands dirty while learning about the wonders of the earth beneath us.
July 7–11: Musical Forest
The forest is our instrument! This week, children will create forest-inspired instruments, from drums made of logs to wind chimes crafted from sticks and strings. Together, we’ll enjoy jam sessions under the trees, creating music with the sounds of nature.
July 14–18: Pollinators
Dive into the magical world of pollinators! Children will learn about bees, butterflies, and other pollinators while taking nature walks to observe them in action. We’ll get creative with crafts, participate in fun science experiments, and explore the vital roles these little creatures play in our ecosystem.
July 21–25: Foraged Apothecary
Explore the forest for wild plants, and learn how to make herbal teas, potions, and simple snacks. This week focuses on the healing power of plants, where children will gather ingredients and create their own natural remedies.
July 28–August 1: Wet and Wild
Splash into water fun with sprinklers, water games, and a drop-off field trip to Cottage Lake. This week is all about getting wet, cooling off, and enjoying the fun of water play with friends in the great outdoors!
August 4–8: Animal Architects
This week, we’ll explore the homes of animals in the wild and build our own! From bird nests to beaver dams, we’ll learn about the natural world’s best builders and use sticks, leaves, and other natural materials and experiment with building our own homes modeled after our forest friend’s.
August 11–15: Sensory Science
Engage all your senses this week! From pinecone weather stations to small world explorations of forest ecosystems, we’ll use natural materials and simple tools to observe the environment, experiment with textures, and learn through sensory-rich play.
August 18–22: Harvest Week
Celebrate the harvest season by picking wild berries and making berry ice cream! Kids will learn about the changes in the natural world as summer comes to a close and they forage for fruit/greens, learn about seasonal foods, and enjoy the rewards of their labor with a delicious treat we make together!
August 25–29: Cardboard Kingdom
Build your dream world out of cardboard! This week, children will use their imaginations to create castles, spaceships, and wild inventions from cardboard. It’s a world of limitless possibilities where creativity runs free!
