Creating little ceramic things you can use at home, helps bring ritual and mindfulness to your everyday life. In today's world, we can easily get whipped up into online scrolling, get sucked into the busy-ness of work, and reality just turns into a blur.
We need these little dopamine hits from the real world to ground us and remind us who we are and what we value. What do we want to reclaim, and ensure we make time for?
We've got you covered! Come and learn the art of clay hand-building!
This is part of our beginner series, each workshop has a different difficulty rating:
- Make a Dish - Beginner Level 1
- Make a Mug - Beginner level 2
- Make a Vase - Beginner level 3
Summary of Options:
• Kiln-fired Clay Option (will stay white) : $70 (1.5hrs)
• Kiln-fired Clay & Paint Option: $80 (2.5hrs)
• 2-Part Kiln-Fired Clay & Fancy Glaze Option: $100 (1.5hrs,
then 2 weeks later: 1hr)

Kiln-fired Clay Option: $70 (1.5hrs)
• Earthenware clay to hand-build your piece
• Templates, tools and aprons to use
• A teacher guiding you through the process
• Hand-building techniques such as slab, pinch and/or coil
• Your piece will dry for 5 days, then be fired, then be dip-glazed and fired again
• Approx. 3 weeks later you will receive an email that your piece is ready for pick-up
• Note: No painting included in this option, your finished piece will remain white
Kiln-fired Clay & Paint Option: $80 (2.5hrs with a 15min break)
• Earthenware clay to hand-build your piece
• Templates, tools and aprons to use
• A teacher guiding you through the process
• Hand-building techniques such as slab, pinch and/or coil
• Underglaze colours and brushes for you to paint your piece
• Your piece will dry for 5 days, then be fired, then be dip-glazed and fired again
• Approx. 3 weeks later you will receive an email that your piece is ready for pick-up
Two-Part Kiln-Fired Clay & Fancy Glaze Option: $100
(1.5hrs, then 2 weeks later: 1hr)
1st Workshop: (1.5hrs)
• Earthenware clay to hand-build your piece
• Templates, tools and aprons to use
• A teacher guiding you through the process
• Hand-building techniques such as slab, pinch and/or coil
• Your piece will dry for 5 days, then be fired
• Approx. 2 weeks later you will receive an email that your piece is ready for glazing
2nd Workshop: (1hr)
• Your bisque-fired masterpiece will be ready for you
• Glaze options will be laid out for you to choose from
• We can provide you with numerous colours of underglaze, and glazes to use
• Instructions on how to apply your glazes to achieve the affects you are interested in
• Various sized brushes and shapes to use
• Your piece will dry for at least 1 day, then be fired for a final time
• Approx. 1 week later you will receive an email that your piece is ready for pick-up
