7Song is a clinical herbalist, teacher, botanist and naturalist with over 40 years experience. He started the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine in Ithaca, NY in 1992 where he has been the director and primary teacher. He is one of the founders and a clinical herbalist at the Ithaca Free Clinic, which is an integrated free clinic with herbalists, doctors, nurses, acupuncturists, and other health care workers, offering both conventional and holistic modalities. Herbs for Mental and Emotional Support 10:00 -11:45am
7Song will explore the role of herbalists and herbal medicine in helping individuals with mental and emotional health concerns, focusing on anxiety, depression, cognitive dysfunction (brain fog), and insomnia. Specific local plants will be discussed with best practices.
Herb Walk and Plant ID with 7Song 12 – 1:30 pm
7Song will spend the afternoon exploring the farm and surrounding areas atop Gaspereau Mountain. . Not to be missed with 7Songs renowned botany skills, in depth knowledge and passion for exploring the plants.
Pot Luck Lunch 1:30 – 2:30 – Please Bring something to share if you wish.
