Woodland Walk from Freeland with Cream Teas in The Reading Room, Coombe, Sunday, 13th July 2025, 6-7miles, 1pm
Meeting point: Freeland Village Hall Car Park, Wroslyn Road, Freeland, Witney, Oxon OX29 8AL (Opposite the Oxfordshire Yeoman Pub).
One of the lovely things about walking from Freeland is the number of beautiful and varied woods we have round and about.
This walk will offer plenty of shade in the woods, but it will also take in a couple of open fields, before leading us to the Reading Room in Coombe where you can enjoy a delicious cream tea. The selection of cakes on offer is vast and they are all truly scrumptious!
On the way back from the walk you can paddle in the river to cool off if you want to. Bring a pair of waterproof shoes if you don't want to go in bear foot.
As always, I will do a collection to help cover the cost of the Oxfordshire STARS Walks, Socials and Charity Events web page. Kindly bring £2 with you. Any surplus collected throughout the year will be used towards our charity fundraising events.
