Elise Roth & her Harvard Squares are a 9-piece swing band with a Big Band sound, consisting of some of the best players of 30’s and 40s swing and early jazz in London! Complete with custom arrangements and original songs, their repertoire is ideal for dancers of Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Shag, and will keep you delighted on the dancefloor all night. The Harvard Squares have played regular events for swing dancers in London at Jamboree and the Mildmay Club for several years running, and have headlined the Twinwood Vintage Festival as well as SwingFest in Balham.
Songstress and bandleader Elise Roth grew up listening to the likes of Judy Garland, Helen Forrest, and Ivie Anderson. Known for both her expressive vocals and her authentic presence, Elise has charmed audiences internationally, from swing dances to supper clubs to vintage events. She’s always thrilled to introduce lesser-known songs to listeners and dancers alike.
