Thomas Milovac’s Quartet featuring Shawn Villanueva on trumpet, Daniel Tenbusch on piano, and David Weatherspoon on drums makes their debut appearance at the Blue Bamboo for a performance of original compositions, jazz deep cuts, and music from their newest album “Milo’s Motion”.
Thomas Milovac is a bassist, composer/improviser, multi-instrumentalist, and artist. He is the leader of various ensembles under his own name including the Thomas Milovac Ensemble, Moon Rays, and the Thomas Milovac Quartet. Thomas is also a member of other ensembles including Ulysses Owens Jr. & Gen Y, the Ryan Devlin Quartet, John Lumpkin & the Covenant, Madre Vaca, and Kristen Warren & Creek. He has also performed with musicians such as Kurt Elling, Steve Cohn, Christian Tamburr, Vincent Gardner, Marcus Printup, and Dominick Farinacci. In 2021, Thomas started a record label, Cosmo Sonic Collective, focused on releasing improvised music. He is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but is now based in Orlando, Florida.
Thomas released his newest album, “Milo’s Motion”, on Cosmo Sonic Collective in May of this year.
