Gypsy jazz, also known as “jazz manouche,” is a vibrant and dynamic genre that originated in the 1930s among the Romani community in France, notably popularized by the legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt. This style blends the exuberance of jazz improvisation with the intricate melodies and rhythms of Eastern European Romani music, creating a captivating sound that is both lively and soulful.
