Salem Band Stars & Stripes Concert

Join Salem Band for an All-American band concert in the town Square, our Annual Stars & Stripes performance honoring veterans in our community with marches, big bands, sing-alongs, Armed Forces Salute, and of course, Star & Stripes Forever! Featuring Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, American Salute, and 76 Trombones. Don’t miss the moving Until Justice Rolls Down Like Waters, narrated by Winston-Salem’s own Jim Steele of WSNC jazz. Arrive at 6:45 pm to enjoy pre-concert jazz by Salem Band/Swing Band vocalist Mignon Dobbins and pianist Ryan McCollum.
FREE in Salem Square, Old Salem, Winston-Salem. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic. Rain-date = Saturday, July 05.
Established in 1771, Salem Band is the oldest, continuous mixed wind ensemble in the nation. Eileen Young, Music Director.
