Permaculture is a concept of land management that works with the natural forces present to better meet human needs, while improving local ecosystems & communities. It aims to create regenerative self-sufficient systems increasing biodiversity, food security, ecological & community resilience, while decreasing waste, pollution & the use of harmful chemicals.
This workshop explores the ethics & principles of permaculture, & how we can apply them in our own front/back yards.
Noah, from Foresight Permaculture, has worked his entire adult life helping people heal their body & minds, through connective tissue bodywork, Yoga & somatic breath release. During this time he's supported his own health & well being by tending to his plants & working in his garden.
Knowing our well being isn’t isolated to ourselves as individuals, but also to our connection with our environment, our food systems, & our community, -Noah combined this knowledge with his growing concerns of climate change, food supply chain issues, pollution, & increased glyphosate use among other related issues.
He decided to empower himself by becoming part of the solution, helping create a more sustainable & green future.
Noah's currently a Permaculture designer since completing his design certification through the Oregon State University in 2022.
Since graduating in 2022, Noah's also completed courses in rain harvesting, composting, & composting toilet. He's presently completing his Horticulture Diploma, specializing in nursery & urban food production, through The University of Guelph.
“We’ve been living on this planet as though we don’t plan on staying here & the damage we’ve done to the earth will ensure that happens if we don’t make changes today. Shifting towards a sustainable future, means taking action today! It can seem like an overwhelming task, but each & every one of us has the potential to make a big difference through the small changes we can make right in our very own backyard!" -Noah, Foresight Permaculture
