Indigenous people have been gathering at The Forks for trading, ceremony, and commerce since time immemorial. The Forks has also served as a vital meeting place for all of creation: humans, animals, rivers, and more. In honour of Indigenous History Month, we have chosen to name this market: ”SÂKITAWÂW” which translates to: “a place where the waters meet” in nehiyaw / cree language. 🫶🏽

This market will focus on showcasing Indigenous artisans that create traditional and contemporary pieces inspired by Indigenous arts and culture. You do not want to miss this historical opportunity to support Indigenous Artisans and Entrepreneurs in the original trading hub. 🎉
