About the event

MICEC's 50th Anniversary Open House
The Manitoba Indigenous Cultural Education Centre is turning 50!

MICEC is a provincial, not-for-profit, charitable and educational organization that works to promote awareness and understanding of Indigenous culture for all Manitobans.

MICEC was founded in 1975 by the Winnipeg Indian Council in conjunction with the Manitoba Indian Brotherhood. It had become more and more apparent that First Nations people needed to proactively work to reclaim their cultures, languages and education.

To celebrate, we are hosting an open house at our Centre with food, live music, and lots of reminiscing! So, come by for a visit! The staff will be happy to see you!
