Mubarak Nsekarije is a visionary leader and strategic interventionist with a deep commitment to fostering community connections and empowering individuals through meaningful interactions.
In 2009, Mubarak founded the Youth Umbrella, a foundation created as a safe space where youth could feel at home, gather regularly, share meals, laughter, and connect with one another.
In 2010, Mubarak took on the role of ambassador for Success for Teens, an organization founded by the creators of Success Magazine. He passionately shared the principles from The Slight Edge, which had been adapted into Success for Teens, and became a facilitator for the program.
Influenced by Keith Ferrazzi’s Never Eat Alone, Mubarak expanded his community involvement in 2014 by hosting regular events that foster connections and collaboration. These events, including monthly breakfasts, have grown in prominence, drawing diverse participants, including local leaders such as the city’s mayor.
As Mubarak continued to deepen his community work, the SUSS (Show Up, Share, Shine) method was born. This method encapsulates the essence of his approach to life and work, encouraging individuals to be present, actively share their unique gifts, and take pride in their contributions, leading to both personal and communal growth.
Mubarak finds joy in contributing to his community and seeing the positive impact of his actions. Whether through his professional work or volunteer activities, there’s a real sense of satisfaction that comes from knowing he’s made a difference.
His dedication to community service is demonstrated through his roles as chair for various organizations and currently serving as a board member for the Assiniboine Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to his community work, Mubarak is a respected coach and mentor, leveraging his expertise in generative AI to help businesses and individuals optimize their potential.
