ARRL Field Day, WSC and RAM

ARRL Field Day is the open house day of amateur radio. Come on out to the Winnipeg Senior Citizens Radio Club in partnership with Radio Amateurs of Manitoba, meet amateur radio operators and maybe get on the air.

The afternoon will include:
* BBQ lunch.
* Contact demonstrations by experienced operators.
* An exercise of near vertical incident skywave (NVIS) for regional communications with regional field day sites.

At 6pm we'll become a get on the air party. Expect:
* Dinner.
* Priority radio time for inexperienced operators, everyone welcome to try under supervision.
* Board/card games.
* Gear show and tell.
* An attempt to reach multiple local stations as a relay network with VHF modes 8:30pm.
* Music. Full albums played back to back in release order, 1970-2010. Tell us about your favorites.

1 hour operating time reservations available 1pm-4pm for experienced operators, 10pm-2am if you're inexperienced. In between that we're just going to wing it. Drop in and get on the air for a contact or two.
