Hoof Trimming and Weigh In

The Lackey’s have been gracious enough to schedule a hoof trimmer to come to US! He will charge $20/head. This is perfect timing for the County Fair as calves can be sore after a good trimming. They will have enough time to heal but not grow too much before the fair. Overgrown hooves can even change how a calf stands.

We will also have the scales available for anyone wanting to get a weight on their calf in case you need to tweak feed the month before the fair.

At this time, the hoof trimming is open to Cowley County kids only. As we get closer, if there are openings then we will open up to all youth.
