Join ACT for Stage Struck!—a dynamic and engaging summer camp where kids ages 8 to 13 dive into the exciting world of theatre and the arts. Over five fun-filled days, campers will build confidence, spark creativity, and make new friends while exploring a variety of artistic disciplines led by professional teaching artists.
Campers will enjoy hands-on sessions in:
- Theatre & Improv – Discover the magic of storytelling and stage presence through playful acting games and ensemble work.
- Dance Theatre – Express emotion and character through movement in a welcoming, all-levels environment.
- Vocal Training – Build vocal confidence with fun group singing and vocal techniques.
- Circus Arts – Try juggling, balance, and clowning activities that boost coordination and creativity.
- Visual Arts & Stage Makeup – Create your own characters through imaginative design and makeup workshops.
- Photography Session – Capture the moment with a mini headshot session, complete with hair, makeup, and wardrobe styling.
- Behind-the-Scenes Tour – Take a guided tour of the Capitol Theatre for a peek into professional theatre life.

MEET THE CAMP DIRECTORS:
Cristina Orlando: Cristina brings 35 years of experience in the entertainment industry both locally and internationally. A trained dancer and graduate of The Second City Conservatory and Planet Ant Theatre, Cristina is an accomplished improv performer and writer. She has taught improv at ACT and St. Clair College and continues to perform across Ontario and Michigan. With a deep background in Early Childhood Education, Cristina combines artistic excellence with a strong understanding of youth development.
Serena Maniaci: Serena joined ACT in 2024 as the Stage Manager for The Social Exchange and Assistant Stage Manager for RENT. With 14 years of experience in dance theatre as a performer, instructor, choreographer, and assistant director, Serena brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for education to her role. She works as a Registered Early Childhood Educator and is excited to help young performers shine as this summer’s Production Manager.
