Join Shanti Yogis for a calming 90 minutes of yin yoga and group reiki treatments. Deep stretches, gentle adjustments and energetic balancing meet resting the mind, body and spirit. Reiki is the belief system that there are seven energy centres throughout the body, (known as chakras,) each contributing to a different version of self expression. (Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, & Root) When they are over/ under expressed, it has an impact on the persons physical, mental & spiritual health. Reiki practitioners gently place their hands over these areas, or float just above, to channel universal energy and allow the participants nervous system to self regulate.
Participants will be guided into yin and restorative poses, each held for two to five minutes. Reiki practitioners will move throughout the room, providing gentle adjustments and hands on energetic balancing. Perfect for anyone seeking to reduce stress and reconnect with their body.
Class is led by Lauren Jeannette BHK, RMT, CYT accompanied by a group of Reiki practitioners ranging from Level 1 to Reiki Master.
Be mindful of clothing choices: Class is non-heated, however there is a hot class that ends 45 minutes prior, if registration is full, it can be a bit warm! Please note that reiki is not intended to treat or cure any illness, it is being used purely as a relaxation technique to enhance the yoga class.
Wear comfortable clothing, bring water and a yoga mat.
