Sun Aug 03 1:30 "Wildflower Wander" Bird and Nature Adventure at Cherokee Marsh with Mary Binkley & Sheila Leary
6098 N Sherman Ave, Cherokee Marsh North Unit parking lot, follow easy walking paths
Join Naturalists Mary BInkley and Sheila Leary for an educational guided walk at Cherokee Marsh. Enjoy seeing beautiful blooming prairie, woodland and wetland plants of all shapes and sizes at their peak bloom! Learn how to identify some of the wildflowers you see. Summer in the marsh can be cooler than the city and we will enjoy the shade of willow, open grown oak and the lowland forest. You'll be amazed what's happening in the lazy days of summer: nesting birds, frogs, dragonflies. See
http://cherokeemarsh.org and the Friends of Cherokee Marsh Facebook page for more info and help support our work. Free, welcoming, healthy, fairly accessable, family and kid friendly, educational, no registration required, no pets. Kids under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
