Hi @everyone!
I know we have been quiet lately, but we have some amazing rides coming up over the next few months!
We will have more details on a couple of full weekend rides we are planning in September and October, but for now, we have decided that our August ride will be on Sunday the 24th of August, at Scheyville National Park!
Please see info below:
When?
Sunday 24/08/25
Saddle up and be ready to ride by 10am
Where?
Scheyville National Park
Horse float parking is available
• The float parking area is off Scheyville Road (near the intersection of Dunn’s Road & Scheyville Road, Maraylya).
Cost:
$5 for the trail (see ATHRA rules at the end of this post regarding day memberships).
Terrain:
Mostly flat trail/bush track and generally soft under foot. Some hills and places for faster riders to stretch their horses legs 😊.
Pace:
Currently we have a mix of riders and horses attending. If we are able to secure multiple trail bosses, there will be the option of splitting into two (or more) groups, however, if we only have one trail boss, we will be going at the pace of the least-confident rider.
2-legged walkers welcome
Please let us know if you are planning on attending by contacting Sabina Weber, Silvia Orlandetti or Amanda MB so that we can make sure we don't leave without you!
Please note: BMTHR is affiliated with ATHRA (Australian Trail Horse Riders Association) to cover the club and riders for insurance (Personal Accident on the day of a club ride or any organised ATHRA events, and Public Liability 24/7 whenever you ride). As such, all riders who attend our events are required to either be:
1. A member of BMTHR;
2. An ATHRA member with another ATHRA club, or;
3. Obtain a day membership through the ATHRA website. (www.athra.com.au) BEFORE attending one of our trails. Day membership enable people to join us on a ride, to see if our club meets their needs.
Please be aware if you haven’t joined BMTHR or are not an ATHRA member with another ATHRA club then you are only permitted to come on two rides as a Visitor per year.
Anyone that shows up on rides and has not paid a membership fee with ARTHRA will not be permitted to ride with the group. (This is an insurance issue).
Membership or Visiting Rider Fee should be paid via the ATHRA website (www.athra.com.au).
Any additional enquires may be made by contacting Sabina Weber
Hope to see you there!
