A Blaze of Story returns to familiar soil on October 14th, with a special session of spooky storytelling, featuring local author, poet, musician, Peter James Billing.

Come meet Edgar Allan Poe 2020 and 2024 nominee finalist Peter James Billing and stay as he darkly reads and performs selections from his forthcoming 2026 poetry collection, The Department of Old Pulp & Dusted Dreams for Sale: Long Forgotten Words.

This Halloween-themed gathering features hauntingly original music and short films—but beware: Sinister McCobb (Chris Lanspeary) will unearth a chilling dramatic reading of Peter’s The Knocking of the Nails. And for the faint of heart, there will even be a couple of love poems.
